Still here, biding my time, playing with blogs, tags, cropping and headers. It’s orthodox Christmas today, and the winter holidays are in full swing, only my parents are working (as usual). My boss will be in her office on the 10th, which will be the first chance to talk to her. And after that, fingers crossed, head back westwards (I just like this word). Meanwhile, I’m sleeping 10-12 hours a day, baking cakes, taking baths and enjoying all the built-in features of a parents’ home. Where else, tell me, an individual can go to bed with milk and biscuits and read a book about magic till 4 a.m.?
Still enjoying Clarke. I would no doubt gulp it, but am exercising my will by sipping as slowly as I can. There are a few things which I actually have found disappointing. For instance, remarks about Alexander I (patriotic feelings), and also some of the Englishness suddenly irked me (in where Englishness implies snobism, and where the usual English self-disparaging sounds too artificial). But I can’t help forgiving these, because… It’s so… So…
And: I have translated half of my dissertation. Scary.
